The Campfire Sessions was born of a need to establish and sustain a community of music practitioners on Brisbane.
In 2015, Danny Widdicombe had the idea to giver local musicians of all abilities the chance to play on stage in front of music appreciators.
The mission was to create an encouraging and inclusive atmosphere where participants felt safe to express themselves musically in front of their peers.
The Campfire flame has been burning for nearly ten years and has been hosted at such iconic Brisbane venues as Lefty’s Old Time Music Hall, The Story Bridge Hotel, What’s Golden (The Tivoli), Sonny’s House of Blues, and more recently, The Triffid.
